Nice hair styles for the 08-09 school year???

Okay I have a little below my shoulder length. I don't want it too short but I want something different from layers and need something with body in it. I have kinda thick hair so I need some length taken off of it but not too much. I want something that sets me as more girly like hairstyle and a trend setter. Not something too girly just a curl here and there but also not so tight of curls I don't want it to look like a frow. What do you suggest? well there's not much you can do. My hair is about the same length so if you cut it going to e in a bob. I guess you can get some kind of roller set and a trim. The will give your hair some body. Because you have an oval face, you might want your hair to be as long as posible so it compliments your face.
