Ok, so for the first two days of school, I just wore my hair down, I have like 2 inches past my shoulder hair that is very layered, straight and I have bangs. Any ideas on something different to do. A lot of times when your hair is very layered like you mentioned, it is automatically much thinner,so use a shampoo that is body building and don't use much conditioner,as it tends to weigh hair down making it seem even thinner,and then use a mousse for thin hair. Also, when you blow dry your hair,put your head down and blow dry then flip your hair up. This will give your hair more body. When your hair is dry,use big hot rollers, they will give your layers alot of body. If your hair layers are too short,and don't fit around the rollers, use a big curling iron,but don't use the hotrollers or curling iron everyday as the heat can damage your hair,on the days you don't use the hotrollers you can use regular plastic hair rollers. Finally,flip your hair over again, and use a rattail comb to style your layers. If you part your hair down the middle, part it to the side and use a curling iron on your banges for a different style. you could take your side bangs, and make what they call a ';bump'; with the hiar, on the top of your head, THEN make your other hair damp, but not too wet, and scrunch it with lots of gel and hairspray.! itll look gorgeous! :] hope that helped. lol.
Bangs are so in this Fall! Try an exaggerated sweep across your forehead using gel. Or pin both sides of your hair back, but tucked UNDER (not over).

if you get a good straightener you can adjust the heat level until it starts to make ur hair really staright (or until you like it) :)

baby powder is a miracle worker!! rub some on your hands and run it through your hair and it'll absorb all thee greasyness!! then put it up in a ponytail or a messy bun or even your regular style.. but if your hair isn't naturally oily, not washing it for one day wont make a huge difference.. its actually healthier not to wash your hair everyday (unless you have oily hair) cause it takes away your hairs natural oils an shine

I'm kind of young to be receding so I want something youthful. Ok, I have basically hair that just kinda lays on top of my head and doesn't have a natural style like some people's hair does. I have quite a bit of hair, brown and it's quite thick. But a good thing to do with your hair is after it is washed brush it to whatever you want your hair parted. Scrunch your hair a few times until you get soft curls. Use any product that will keep the shape of the curl, DO NOT use gel, or you will get a crunchy greasy looking affect. If you use Dove Volumizing Spary Mousse it will dry into natural looking waves which is super cute. This will benefit because you are not blow drying your hair, flat iron or curling. From that look you can wear your gorgeous curls up or down. Adding accessories like headbands or light scarves. You can turn a pony tail to looking volumous and cute but by taking your hair at the top back of your head brush up and then twist and push up a but (or whatever height you want) and place a bobby pin on each side to hold it up, a light spray of hairspray will keep it up all day. Then add a high pony tail..super cute.
Your best opsion is to probable bo with pigtails. If you are using them to inpress a guy i would go with somthing simple.Men are very simple people

Ask a professional hairdresser and show them the pic. He/she will tell you if it matches your complexion, face shape, eye colour etc. Remember to stop them if they are going wrong while cutting. If you don't like it in the end, don't worry. It will grow out fast, if you're a healthy person.

As for a style, I have a few ideas.
Alot depends on your age. Longer hair is in with the 16 - 30 age range nowadays. If you fall in there, you'll have a lot of options that are ';in';.
For one, the stylized ';hipster'; hair is immensly popular and pretty easy to work with. Most guys get their bangs cut at and angle off to one side. Think Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy, for one. A little bit of bangs off to the side, maybe covering your eye a bit, is mucho sexy and gives you a good base to work with. As long as the front looks good, the back will look good.
Layers around your face will help with the cheek issue :-) Just a few now, you don't want to go nuts or it'll come off looking way too feminine. If you have enough hair to pull off a little pony tail, make sure you keep some layers/longer bangs up front so your face doesn't look huge. I know the pain of big cheeks, believe me!
As an alternative, you could always just throw your head forwards, go nuts with the gel and hair wax, and rock the hipster guy look!Men's Hair Styles - please help?

hairstyles depend on your face and build - I'm an amature but am quite good at doing women's hairstyles and makeovers for being an amature....you might post a picture of yourself in photobucket so people can see what they've got to work with....
preferably with your hair down for one shot and with your hair pulled back in another against a plain backdrop and regular clothing that shows what your figure is (hips/bust/shoulders/height/necklength/ your face's shape - armlength and leg length you're starting to get into fashion at that point) - do one closeup and one far away for each shot and then also a side shot of your face and that should do it (that's what IIIIIII would need if I were going to go to work on this). With various haircuts and styles I also reccomend different colors with different faces and eye/eyebrow and eyelash colors. The biggest one for me is cheek shape, forehead size, chin and nose shape in order to start working on a style.....a beautiful nose can make a LOT of things possible (differing opinions on beautiful noses abound - although they are my favorite feature on a face).
I do my wife's hair from time to time and it has actually come out quite stunning and better than some of the pro-hairstyles she's gotten...guess I'm a natural at it - but hairstyles aren't always transferrable from one person to the next...that's why it makes a dif what you look like....

Does anyone know any cute hair styles??
my hair is a little longer than my collar bones. im sorta in a hair slump and i need some ideas on how to wear my hair to school...

buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. ive found that a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.
then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......
and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.
and to get a curled, more voluminous ponytail, here is what you do. just put your hair up in a ponytail before bed, then put anywhere from 1-3 curlers in it (depending on how much hair you have and how thick it is and how big you want your curls) then when you wake up, roll them right out, and re-tie your ponytail holder and brush the top of your head, without brushing down the curls. you can put hairspray in if you want, but you might not even need to for just a ponytail.
and as for just regular hairstyles, i would try sidebangs or whispy bangs instead of thick ones......dont know ....
you can also do buns, because they are pretty in, or low pigtails, but you might be a little old for them, but my sister in college looks cute in them so i dont know.....
and side ponytails are cute and sporty.
as for hairbands, very cute and in!!!
u could wear your hair half-up, leaving your bangs down.....

Or you could curl your hair either with a curling iron or those sleep-in hair curlers, or use curling gel stuff right after you shower and then have that really cute scrunched messy look. That's always fun.

I need pictures of a good Emo hair style?

Well i am going out tomorrow and i want to do something different with my hair i am sick of it looking the same.My hair is pretty long its dark brown with blonde streaks and i do have extensions but i want to do something different with them in as i don't like them without!

foux hawks are always cool LOL or you could go Brittany thats pretty gangsta too or halff up and half down or pony to the side or pig tales jus try something personally I think most girls look best with most of it down then a lil bit parted with one of those lil clip things and that lil bump thing that yall do wit yalls bangs
Well i am going out tomorrow and i want to do something different with my hair i am sick of it looking the same.My hair is pretty long its dark brown with blonde streaks and i do have extensions but i want to do something different with them in as i don't like them without!

let me see..... it is kinda hard to explain but i will do my best. You might need someone to do this for you bcuz not even i can do it to myself!!!
part your hair where ever you want or where your natural part is.... you can find that out by brushing your hair back and then shaking your head around a few time and it shoud reveal where your natural part is. make sure your part is straight and that your hair hangs down over your ears.
make a ponytail with just a portion of your hair.... like near the end of your part and then right behind your ears,circle it around and pulll it all up into a pontail in the center of the circle of hair that you just created. If you have done it right I should have everything in a pontail except the hair that hangs down over your ears.
with that ponytail take small sections and roll them a round two fingers and pinn in place with a bobby pin. keep doing this until the whole ponytail has been transformed into a sort of ring type thing....the loops you made with the sections of hair should go around in a circle.
take the hair on one of the side of your head and comb it back and wrap it around the bunand clip it in place with small clips around the bun.... repeat with the other side.... make sure your part is still there
If this does not work you can change it to fit your hair, or you can also mutated it to your will..... WHATEVER LOOKS GOOD!!!

you apply a hockey puck size of mousee in your hair and scrunch for about 5 minutes in different places. after i wash my hair, i towell dry it, and then put gel through my hair, then i spray the aussie all over and work it through with my fingersand scrunch it with your hands, then i put all my hair ontop of my head, and tie it in a bun with a scrunchie, it dries and when you let it down it looks great!!!! good luck

Apply the gel first, then the sprunch....do this when your hair is wet. Blow dry ,scrunching your hair with your hands. You get best results if you turn your hair dryer on the lowest setting.
when your hair is still wet, bend over flipping your hair over your face so you are kinda upside down... and then put the styling gel into your hands and rub your hands togehter... then spread it throughout your hair evenly.. then scrunch it up together with your hands and also towards your head.. then use the aussie spray and spray that also evenly over your hair. then go back to scrunching it all over and use a blow dryer on the low setting WHILE youre scrunching it up together.

you could plait it the night before or mousse it, however that mgith not work it your hair is really straight. Lots of people with natural straight hair in my school wear a messy bun. I'm not sure how they do it (my hair isnt the right type, it would end up looking like amy winehouse) but just put your hair in a bun with some shorter bits in the front falling down and try and mess up the bun at the back.
If your forehead isnt too big you can take the top part of your hair and kind of 'poof' it up so it is half up half down. think of duffys hair

Hair bands are in this season. Plain thin ones are very classic. Or you can use a scarf for a retro '60s look. You can embellish plain ones with hot glue and buttons or beads for a casual or evening look.
You can make your hair into a neat bun. For a plain but finished look, pin down strays w/ hair pins that have tortoise shell on one side. (Goody makes them.) For a dressier effect use hair pins w/ pearls or rhinestones.
For a casual look, make a messy bun or chignon.
You can braid your hair %26amp; wear the braid down. Or you can loosely braid your hair %26amp; create a bun.
BTW, you can braid your hair after shampooing and let it dry. Take out the braids and you'll have a loose wave/crimp that's perfect for a beachy, summer look.

(This is a hair style that has short layers on top and long hair on the bottom, simple because all you use is root lifter to create volume and you're done.)

Completely bald is not the answer because not all guys look good bald, you have to have the right head shape and skin tone.

It looks so great! Or, if you have the face for it, shave it off completely. My husband was apprehensive about going really short, but he also grew a goatee and he looks really good.

My hubby has had a receding hairline since he was 16 or so ( he is now 21) and he shaves his head bald!! some people this looks silly on but some not...just make sure you are comfortable with the way you look, and i promise it's not as obvious or looks as bad as you think!! good luck!!

hey, i just had my hair cut on Fri. i have pretty long hair, n i have SO much hair, so it was pretty hard for da hair dresser to cut it. I didnt want it so short so wot she did is that first of all i have a right hair line so she opened da line n then started cuttin ma fringes from short to long , the shortest falls under ma left eyebrow. she then cut ma hair in 3 layers, da shortest just above ma shoulders. it looks pretty nice, specially when i straightened my hair on saturday nite, every1 loved it! forgot to say she cut a lot of ma hair from inside to avoid ma hair looking so big (cuz as i said i have a very big n thick hair). have a look at some models on da google, n find da best hair style that suits u da most.

Since celebs tend to change their hairstyle so often, there are usually a ton of different styles. Pick one that you like and try it. This gives you an idea of what it would look like on your before you get it. You can see how it frames someone's face that has a similar bone structure and what definitely didn't look good on them, etc.

They won't give you a price unless you add the item to the shopping cart which you can't do unless you register with a bunch of personal information. I did this only to discover they don't have a log in anywhere on the site.

Long hair styles for the early 30's?
I'm 38 and my hair is about to the middle of my shoulder blades. I have never bought into the whole, you can't wear long hair as you get older. I do think you need to avoid cutesy styles like pigtails and barrettes. Layered hair around your face helps keep volume in your hair and frames your face. Of course, you can't go wrong with the classic bob and you can wear a long bob that comes to your shoulders.

Im getting my hair done on Thursday but want a new style.
At the moment my hairs light brown,shoulder length and i have a side fringe.
I would like new bangs so that when my hair is up it looks cute, but the bangs need to look cute up %26amp; down.

sorry i dont have any pictures to include. but the way i like hair cut is with a good amount of layers...but the shortest layer shouldnt be too short. i like it when hair is parted more to one side than to the other so if you want to wear your hair like that then part your hair before the hairdresser starts cutting so it will be even on both sides. a medium amount of bangs is cute...not too much. but i like bangs that are long enough to tuck behind your ears incase you ever want to do that. when you put your hair up you can either leave your bangs down and straightened or put them up in a poof.

sorry i dont have any pictures to include. but the way i like hair cut is with a good amount of layers...but the shortest layer shouldnt be too short. i like it when hair is parted more to one side than to the other so if you want to wear your hair like that then part your hair before the hairdresser starts cutting so it will be even on both sides. a medium amount of bangs is cute...not too much. but i like bangs that are long enough to tuck behind your ears incase you ever want to do that. when you put your hair up you can either leave your bangs down and straightened or put them up in a poof.

Im getting my hair done on Thursday but want a new style.
At the moment my hairs light brown,shoulder length and i have a side fringe.
I would like new bangs so that when my hair is up it looks cute, but the bangs need to look cute up %26amp; down.
Don't want my hair done short though
