ok thick hair can be trick because you have so much to play with.

don't use any heat just let it air dry. this is time consuming so twist at night and take out in the morning.

instead of curly pudding just use leave on conditioner and mix with pomade

Get a fro, or get it braided. i got mines braided REALLY thin, well cornrow braids. I got it on Monday and they are STILL tight today, and they were done @ a shop. So if you have a friend who does them for WAY cheaper i recommend you go that route.

cept make the back bigger. use a pick...it should look super cute
wash it , deep condition with cholesterol ( makes hair soooooooo soft %26amp; shiny ! ) %26amp;straighten :) maybe get a clear semi-permanent hair dye to make hair glossy .
