Can anyone suggest a good retro hair style?

Okay I'm going to my boyfriend's family's xmas eve party rocking sort of a Bettie Page retro look and I need to find an easy but elegant rockabilly or pin-up hairstyle that will work with my unruly hair without cutting or dying it.I'm wearing a white button up see-through blouse with a black and white corset top over it and a black pencil skirt with modest slips on either side as well as fishnets and black shiny heels with straps. Can anyone suggest a good retro hair style?
The Basis for any pin up hairstyle is pin curls, or rag curls. Do your hair in pin curls the morning of or the night before and wait for them to dry. Take them out. Your hair will be pretty short looking, But the curls will turn out great, Just comb them out slightly with your fingers, So they aren't so...Bouncy looking. You can just pull one or both sides up. It's easy, and simple, and looks great. You can also do Victory Rolls, But they are slightly hard to do, So you'll have to practice them. Once you get it down, They are easy. But those can be pretty Elegant if done right...There are also, I forgot to mention, the Veronica Lake waves, which are pretty pin up and elegnat. Basically, You do wide Fingerwaves, wave for them to dry, then brush out lightly. Fingerwaves are hard to do, especially doing it on yourself, So I suggest getting a friend to help you.

Hold on, I'll get a picture of victory Rolls.
