You don't say how short, long, curly or whatever her hair is, so it's hard to tell. In the sixth grade, she's old enough to have a style. This shouldn't be lumped on you, with you trying to get yourself together in the morning, as well. Ask your mom to take her to a good stylist who will create a flattering, easy care look that she can keep up, herself.
