Hair styles for going out ?

my friend and i are going out for the day and i want a long lasting nice look.

i have medium length hair, but dont simply just want to straighten it, infact id rather use minimal heat on my hair.

does anyone have a goodwebsite or any good ideas to make my hair naturally wavy on the top layer and more straight underneath giving it a longer look.
